Patagonia is a geographical region located in the southern part of South America. It covers areas in Argentina and Chile, separated mainly by the Andes.
There is no general agreement about the boundaries of the Patagonia, but in Chile it is seen as an extension from south of the mouth of the fjord Reloncavi, the Petrohué River to Lake Todos los Santos and Cerro Tronador. The Patagonian territory includes the island of Tierra del Fuego and its archipelago of Cape Horn.
Northern Chilean Patagonia is without doubt one of the most unexplored territories of the world. This has allowed maintaining the nature in its purest form. Starting in the North at the Fjord Reloncaví and ending in the South in the Northern Ice fields, this area will impress any visitor with its incomparable beauty.
Local culture is also an interesting factor. Probably due to the difficult access, Patagonia is one of the areas of Chile where the culture has remained intact with the passing of the years.
Visit this part of Chile and you will experience all the traditions of the people and their way of life in general, such as their way of dressing, customs, typical meals and forms of expression.
The region of Aysen is characterized by a rainy temperate climate with abundant rainfall throughout the year, reaching about 3600mm in the vicinity of the Pacific Ocean. However, the sector where the Hacienda is built is strongly influenced by a microclimate from Chile Chico, where annual rainfall does not exceed 500mm. This gives us the privilege of having very good weather compared to the rest of the vast Patagonia, which allows you to explore the beautiful lush surroundings.
